Our executive leadership team brings together decades of combined experience across security, construction, manufacturing, civil infrastructure and commercial operations. Led by CEO Jim Sturgess, the Crimsafe Group’s leadership is united by a single ambition: to build an organisation that is as trusted by its clients and partners as it is by the communities it protects. This clarity of purpose flows through every business in the Group, ensuring consistent standards, accountable delivery and a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organisation.
Jim Sturgess (B.Com, FCA)
Jim is the Managing Director & CEO of Crimsafe and an Independent Director of the Australian Made Campaign.
Since joining in 2016, Jim has led Crimsafe’s expansion across Australia through its national licensee network, while driving international growth into the United States, New Zealand, South Africa and Spain.
Under his leadership, the Crimsafe Group has evolved beyond security into Fencing Solutions, broadening its
capabilities and reinforcing its purpose of making the world a safer place.
A Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, Jim brings extensive experience across ASX-listed, private and government-owned organisations, including Flight Centre Travel Group, Titan Energy Services Limited, City of Brisbane Investment Corporation, Sheraton Hotels and EY.
Jim’s leadership focuses on strategy, governance, innovation and sustainable growth.
Philip Klisser (CA)
Philip is the Chief Financial Officer of the Crimsafe Group, responsible for leading the Group’s financial strategy, governance and performance across its Australian and international operations.
Since joining Crimsafe, Philip has played a key role in strengthening financial discipline and supporting the Group’s growth ambitions, including expansion into international markets and adjacent product categories. He works closely with the executive team on strategic initiatives, including capital management, banking relationships and acquisition activity, positioning the business for sustainable, long-term growth. Prior to Crimsafe, Philip held senior finance roles at Australia Post and across global retail organisations, where he delivered performance improvement initiatives, implemented scalable financial frameworks and supported complex, multi-market operations.
A Chartered Accountant, Philip brings a commercial and outcomes-focused approach to finance, with a
strong emphasis on clarity, accountability and enabling
confident, data-led decision making.
Tom Woodward (LLB, BSc, CPM)
Tom is the Group General Manager – Crimsafe Australia, bringing more than 20 years’ experience leading strategy, brand, marketing and commercial operations across rapidly growing international organisations.
Tom has held senior leadership roles across Australia, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and the United States, working with globally recognised brands including Halfords Plc, ghd and Uppercut Deluxe. An accomplished C-level executive, Tom is recognised for building high-performing teams, driving brand
growth and leading transformational business initiatives across multiple markets. In 2021, he was awarded the Australian Marketing Institute’s CMO of the Year.
At Crimsafe, Tom leads the Australian business with a focus on strategic growth, operational excellence, customer experience and innovation, supporting the Group’s purpose of making the world a safer place.
Garth Graves (Adv Dip B&C, MAICD)
Garth is the Group General Manager – Crimsafe Fencing Solutions, leading the strategic growth and performance of the Group’s Fencing Solutions division.
Joining Crimsafe following its first fencing acquisition, Garth has played a key role in expanding the division’s capabilities, market presence and long term growth strategy.
A senior executive with more than 20 years’ experience, Garth has built and led high performing teams across Australia and international markets. His diverse background spans construction, technology and property development across listed, private and non-profit organisations. Holding qualifications in Business Management and Construction, Garth is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Throughout his career, he has successfully led major business projects, acquisitions, new market entries and sustained growth initiatives.
Garth is driven to deliver strong environmental, social and economic outcomes, while creating solutions that support safer and more resilient communities.
Ron Nyce
Ron is Vice President of Crimsafe North America, LLC, responsible for leading Crimsafe’s Wholesale and Retail business operations in the United States.
Since joining Crimsafe, Ron has led the restructuring its US operations to better align its capabilities while improving efficiencies in production, distribution, sales, service, and installation, resulting in a more economical cost structure and positioning the business for sustainable future growth through its network of licensed dealers across the US.
Ron’s background includes key leadership positions with significant P&L accountability overseeing large, multi-site, and multi-disciplinary teams on a national scale at Sears Home Services, Transdev North America, and Riot Glass LLC.
